BILL LOOKING is a french songwriter and performer. Category French and English Blues.
BILL LOOKING has made a name for himself by taking the songs of ELVIS PRESLEY around the world, even going so far as to challenge the greatest, in MEMPHIS, the city of residence of the KING, reaching the semi-finals at the world championships.
BILL LOOKING is also a multi-instrumentalist, arranger and vocal coach.
BILL LOOKING begins to play his own songs in the Parisian cabarets. Songs sung in French, classified in the FRENCH BLUES category. Yet aware that he will not be able to break into the song by singing the BLUES, he still persists in this style and naturally extends his repertoire to the COUNTRY and the ROCK AND ROLL music.
BILL LOOKING begins to take up the great standards and, noted for his sumptuous interpretations of ELVIS PRESLEY, he wins contracts in France as an Artist paying tribute to Elvis and abroad as an Elvis Tribute Artist. It will result in concerts in a dozen countries including The UNITED STATES (MEMPHIS, NEW YORK and LAS VEGAS) where we are surprised by his almost perfect English and his vocal range can sing rock and roll with a high voice singing or a smoothie one for slow songs.
BILL LOOKING took to NEW YORK City, where he got a great success in hotels, restaurants and cabarets. He sang a few years later in LAS VEGAS in several hotels with huge concert halls and then, in MEMPHIS, in front of GRACELAND the famous mansion of KING ELVIS PRESLEY.
After being semi-finalist at the European championships organized and judged by THE ELVIS PRESLEY ENTERPRISES, BILL LOOKING has decided to tackle the world championships that take place in MEMPHIS. He faced 40 of the best performers in the world and has been graduated in the first places, (again) in the semi-finals.
